Safe-to-School Program Safe-to-School Attendance Hotline: (301) 725-9250The PTA Sponsored SAFE-TO-SCHOOL program ensures that all our children are accounted for each day. If your child will be absent or late (sick, doctor's appointment, etc), we ask that you call the Hammond Attendance Hotline (301) 725-9250 by 9:30 am and leave a message. Leave the date, your child's name, teacher, grade, why they are absent and when you expect them back in school. In
addition to calling the SAFE-TO-SCHOOL
HOTLINE,
you MUST
SEND A NOTE
regarding your child's absence the first day of
their return to school. If a note is not received
within two days of your child's absence they will be
marked unlawful or truant. The Safe-to-School program desperately needs your help to ensure that all of our children arrive "safe to school." We have a chairperson to coordinate scheduling; now we need a few folks willing to give only 15-20 minutes of time around 9:30-9:45am; when you can spare it. Whether it's once a week, once a month, once a quarter, or one week straight and done, whatever time you choose you give will help a valuable program protect our kids. Scheduling options are flexible. Any help is appreciated.
