Attention:  3 Seats are Opening on the BOE
PTACHC and the League of Women Voters are in the planning stages for a BOE Candidate’s Forum in early March. 

Council is seeking your questions that you would like to ask the 15 candidates running for the three seats on the Board of Education. Send your questions to: president@ptachc.org Questions are due January 25, 2012!

Get out the Vote! All BOE members are elected at-large and are non-partisan. So a voter registered as independent, green,or libertarian can vote in the primary for the Board of Education. There is also early voting for the primary. For more information on when and where early voting will be and who the candidates are, go to Council’s website at: http://www.ptachc.org/?page_id=1031

Thank you to all the families and staff who have joined our PTA! We appreciate all of your support! Not a member yet? You are welcome to join our PTA at anytime during the year! All PTA members will receive a free copy of the student directory.

Volunteer
Hammond PTA needs help from everyone who is willing and able to help. Please remember to fill out the Volunteer form in the folders that went home (Tuesday, August 30) and return to your child's teacher ASAP. Join the HESPTA Today!The PTA works to make each year at Hammond Elementary the best possible school experience for our children. We fund cultural initiatives; after-school enrichment programs; community events such as BINGO Night, Multicultural Night and the Talent Show; and grants to teachers to purchase special instructional tools. None of this is possible without YOUR involvement and support. Please become a member of the PTA or renew your membership. At only $8 annually for a single membership or $15 annually for a family membership; it's a small investment with a big return!
